“My heart is deep maroon, yet, transparent and I compose poems within the abyss of it, spill it open, let it flow and hopefully my tanka/poetry will move a reader to think, to cry, to reflect, or perhaps, to make a difference in their life.”

- Pamela A. Babusci, 3LIGHTS Interview, March 2008

Pamela A. Babusci is not simply a writer of tanka, but a woman who embodies the tanka spirit. Her work has always managed to stir the emotions of its readers, persistently unlocking sensations to which only tanka holds the key. I discovered Pamela via her tanka, but have since experienced her haiku, her sequences, her collaborations and, of course, her haiga and taiga.

In this exhibition, we present a selection of haiga and taiga from a poet and artist who continues to inspire us, not only with her work, but with her unfailing spirit. Ladies and gentleman…. Pamela A. Babusci.
